oh and for the people who have been wondering what a roost boost is. it is and igniton add-on made by Answer. it suposed to boost your spark andmake a 230 more fuel effecient. sounds kinda odd to me, i can ride WOT for hours on a tank of fuel.
Where does the extra energy come from to boost the spark? There is no battery and I figure the magneto is doing about all it can do anyway.

I use the lowest octane I can get away with without knocking. Seems like everytime I try higher octane, the power goes down. Its subtle and can't be sure... maybe its that I'm expecting it to run like nitrous lol, but not worth the extra $ imo.

im not sure really, still readin about it. it seems so far that it acts as a capacitor of some sort. like i said it seemed a little odd but for $30 it seemed like a neat new toy to install. ok here is what it says, it improves your ignition and spark giving you more power through out the throttle travel.

Sure looks neat. I have no idea if would add up to more power or not. Might make starting easier.

Will a bigger spark make gas burn faster than a smaller one? Once its lit, aint it lit? Is burning faster a good thing? If so, why use high octane to slow the burning down? Maybe a bigger spark makes it burn more completely. I just don't know that much about sparks n stuff. All I know is I want a fat blue one lol

My motor has been burnin oil all year. Like it runs perfectly fine other than a high idle. And goes FAST, I can annihilate a stock 350 Warrior. Far as I know its stock.

Well, I ride wide open. Over the course of the summer, Its been burnin more and more oil. Not a big deal to me, I got the thing for nothing. On the way back to the truck last weekend, it started missin and not doing well, then the chain started to come off and it totally ruined my stator cover. About 100 meters from the truck it cut out, so I think its electrical, but I had the stator rebuilt about 5 months ago, so i really dont know. Its still covered in mud on my trailer until I get my new shop on december 1st.

I always planned on a rebuild over the winter, so I wasnt worried about it blowing up. Im just starting to think I should put a different engine in it. Its got torque, but that hill climbin power isnt there. Im plannin to frequent the dunes next year so I need power. And I change elevation so much, EFI appeals to me.

It weighs about 100 pounds more than my 230S. I can load my 230S onto my trailer, or truck by myself (no ramps). I dont think I could do the same with a raptor. Nor could I as easly lift it out of a rut as easily.
