I run cheap 10w40 in mine. Hopefully PoolGod will find that receipt before I do any damage.

They say multigrade oil is no good in a transmission. The gears break it down fast. Straight 30 is better. So they say.

Bikebandit will definitely have it, but try rockymountain first. It will ship a lot faster. If they have it.

I finally finished my a-arm project. 47 inches is Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide!!!!! !!!!! Its about as wide as long, lol. I haven't gone for a ride yet, but I may end up putting stock rims back on. 44 inches may be ok.

Yeah, mine takes an oring as well!

As far as oil goes, I believe it doesn't matter what type you use, as long as it changed VERY regularly, as well as filter, and screen cleaned.

We tend to go on some brutal 80 mile plus rides with several thousand foot elevation changes. so I change oil after every ride, ok, every other ride..

I'm with hadaveha, mine leaks pretty bad too. I've only changed it once since the rebuild last spring, lol, I'm anxious to get that big bore kit. Actually, I ordered a filter and it should be here any day now.

PoolGod, How do you carry enough to drink? Unless I carry plastic water bottles, it all ends up breaking and spilling everywhere. I usually strap a bottle of water to the handlebars and have to go back to the truck for anything good to drink. After 5 hrs of riding, my muscles and hands are toast. I have no idea how many miles it is.

Any ideas what the "real" application is for the big bore sleeve and piston? I'm sure they don't just make it for the 230 as a big bore kit. Its probably for another bike. I'm just curious.

PRM 6 pack rack!! holds 2 bottles of water, and 4 tall cans of the king of beer plus ice.Plus some backups in the back packs to cover any that explode.. I feel ya on the aches and pains.. Between the 4 of us that regularly ride together, there are 9 back surgeries! Not to mention my million other operations.

Modern medicin in moderation, keeps us rollin!

Nope, it is just a big bore kit....... I have been riding since I was 4 years old, and we have always searched for a way to make more power out of everything...
