bodydroppedmike, You need to concentrate on the realistic here man. The only gearing you should be concernd with is the final drive (counter shaft and drive sprocket). After the gearing, suspension and engine upgrades, technique will be your next best "fast maker".
If you want to be more linear in your thinking, the way you ride is the first/best improvement you can make to a machine.
Please dont misunderstand me, I think your doing a very good thing. Interest in these machines is priority #1 on my list.
But unless you have a bank of money to spend, or make gears for a living, you should stick to whats still available for the QS.

Good luck.

Anybody put aftermarket pegs or shifter on there 230? My pegs are worn and the shifter is shot! I know I can regrind the pegs but I was trying to get away from having to do that much work.

yeah my pegs are worn down too, everytime I tried to ride my feet flew off when I jumped so I searched high and low on the net for a different option and this is what I found.

the top selection, scroll down to lt230s

This is the only place I could find anything without having to grind my old ones (which I did not want to do). If anyone knows of somewhere cheaper please post it.

Foot peg issue.

Try a set of ( jlatvproducts part # JL10P). They will extend your factory peg and give your foot a better bite. Then take a triangle shaped file to the factory peg teeth.
The metal is soft enough and will work down easily.

sahzookee, I saw those as well but i was trying to not add the weight of steel nerfs. Are they heavy? BigMc, good find I like that idea a lot and the price is right. I would like those with Aluminum nerfs but nobody makes them for the 230S. I did not even see the Steel ones listed for the 87 230 which I have. Anybody know if the Aluminum ones for a 250R would fit, or could easily be modified?
