LT250R Quad Racers Pluses and Minuses of each year Please
#1
Can anyone run through the pluses and minuses of each model year 250? I would also like to know what to be on the look out for for each year.
Thanks,
Joe

the 1 bad thing about all years is that there is no R&D in quadracer's --no companies build a d@mn thing for them--85-86 have 5 gears no power valve --87 has a different intake than the 88-92 --there a great bike but rebuilds and the fact you cant get quality aftermarket parts is why i bought my trx250r if you got the money to buy a quadracer save for a little while longer and get the honda by the time you ad your first aftermarket anything you have already exceeded the value of the quadracer

pimpt250r is right. parts are very difficult to find.
The 87's and up all had six-speed transmissions. The 90, 91 and 92 model years are by far the best. On the early models, 85 and 86 especially, the frames like to crack all over the place. While all suzuki frames tend to be weak, these two years were by far the worst. I even had an 87 that I had to gusset the sh#t out of. I have to say, though, I had fewer motor problems with the 86 that I owned.

the 85' year model was the lightest-but weakest.i have a 1992 and it has great suspenion, and a wicked engine. it handles very good.i havent had any major problems with it yet....and i ride hard.i recomend a later model lt.
