both stock with fresh rebuilds and same weight rider i would say it would be a very close race the qsport getting the majority of the lead tell the blaster got up into the higher gears.

I have a 230s and used to have a Blaster. I would have to agree with NEWDUCK, when the Blaster hits its power band look out. Blasters are mean little 2 chokes. Top end I would guess the 230 tops out around low to mid 60's and the Blaster probably about the same. I guess to qualify a winner it depends on the length of the race. The shorter the race I would give it to the Blaster, the longer the race be looking over your shoulder for a fast catching Quadsport !

a blaster is an entry level race quad -- a quadsport is a heavy slow old 4 stroke --i have ridden both in stock form and the blaster has it in every gear ................

I'm not sure what makes you think it is heavy, its actually one of the lightest atv's that were made. Maybe you should try to find one ( a good one cause you appearantly road a slow one) and give it a lift. A LT230S isn't heavy at all.

OOPS!
So anyways, I have a Lt230E, had a blaster, 300ex's, Rancher,Suz 4x4 (my first quad), a slew of LT80's and my beloved 250R (traded the 4x4 for it after one ride on the R).
Top speeds will be close but through the gears the blaster will take it cuz of the quicker rev's.
Auto (E) or the manual LT230's should be the same on top. Of course the manual will get to top speed faster than the auto. The 230E was a great machine for the wife.
Remember, it takes almost twice the cc's of a 4 stroke to compare to the cc's of a 2 stroke.

HEHE,,my modded LT80's will keep up with a piped blaster till the blaster hits 5th gear.
Off topic but I thought youd find that as funny as I did.
