ResueDiver,

Thanks, That is the exact information I needed. Do you happen to know if the Z400 is a Green Sticker qualified quad or does it get the red sticker? In addtion, if my quad has an RV plate from AZ does the Non Resident sticker allow me to ride as though I had a Green Sticker bike even if the bike is a Red Sticker bike if registered in California?

Joe
Your Welcome

Look at your VIN, if the 8th digit is a "C" or a "3", you would be issued a red sticker. I haven't heard of anyone being issued one (red) to a '06 Z400. However, DMV has made mistakes in the past I would think they would give your bike what would be the equivalent to a green sticker bike, I just haven't heard of a z400 being red stickered. However, for clarification, I'd contact someone at 916-324-4442; or pubinfo@parks.ca.gov. Sorry I couldn't answer the question with 100% certainty

Your comparing the communist state of Calif. with the easy state of Az. Of course you will have to register it for Calif. Anything you do in Calif. costs money, expecilly to an out of stater.

You know whats funny, if I bring in an out of state bike to California I do not need to get it inspected. In California you DO NOT need to smog check motorcycles in Arizona you DO! Somethings are just plain backwards!

I don't know what you mean about having an out of state bike inspected One of my Z400's was bought from a guy who had lived in Mossouri, when I registered it at DMV, they inspected it Even asked to see the stock safety/propaganda stickers" Luckily, they were still on it

What's next smogging a diesel Not so far in California I know it's coming though
