Default 230 oil leak

i recently took apart my quadsport 230 and it now has an oil leak. is there any thing i can do to stop it without taking it all back apart? at an auto parts store i noticed this stuff in a bottle that u pour in with the oil and it says it stops oil leaks . does it really because it is kinda pricy. the leak only comes out of one spot but it rapidly comes out pretty fast

Default 230 oil leak

quadsport230rider,

I know it's a pain in the a$$ to take it all apart to make the repair. But you should fix it correctly, so you don't have to worry if your temporary repair is going to last. Let say your temporary repair gives out on you 35 miles away from camp what then?

Just my 2 cents.

SB.

The automotive stop leak stuff probably won't work and it could damage your clutches..most of that stop leak stuff is made with the same compounds as brake fluid which will swell the seals to try and stop a leak in cars..but I believe it will damage the clutch on quads..
