Default First time racing need advice.......

Im going to go to a race on february 19. So my question is if i am wasting my time with my quad or if i will be able to have a good time with out winning? I have a z 400 my only motor mods are barnett clutch, jet kit, K&N airfilter with pro design adapter and DG Bullet full exhaust. I have about 300$ if you guys have any advice on what to buy that will help i was saving up for elka suspension and a-arms. Im pretty sure im not going to win but i just want to go try it out with out looking real bad. I think i ride pretty hard and the track isnt all that straight it has many turns and jumps and i could turn and jump pretty well. Im going to race the begginers 350 - 450 class. Any opinions would be gladly appreciated. Thanks

OMAR, first how r youy liking the alba pro elite nerf bars. Just relax on the track and have fun, you have to get a feel of the track before you will get used to going ***** to the walls. One thing that I would buy is a Kidney belt if you dont already have one. They r like 30 bucks and at the end of the day you will be glad u bought one . I will save your back....

I raced MX and Road bicycles for years. The best advice I can give you is to warm up properly before your race. You wont believe how much more endurance you will have. Go for a spin on a bicycle through the pits for at least a half hour or go jog some laps around the pits. It will make a big difference.

Joe

PS. The better shape your in the longer you need to warm up! Get your heart rate up pretty high a couple of times during your warm up too!
