Default KQ Idle / Run Problem

OK, When I picked my new 05 KQ up a couple of weeks ago and the guy was going to load it in my cousins truck, he couldnt get it to idle or run at low rpm. So he took it back around to the mech. I went around and the mech. took the side cover off and adjusted the "throtle" on the TB. It idled good and he put it back together. After getting back together he started it up and it wouldnt idle again. I thought, "well its new and needs some break in". So he took the side covers of again and adjusted it, this time it was good. I took it home and road it while on vacation for a week and only problem i noticed was when riding it, after you let off and come to a stop it would idle way down and almost die, and after about 3-4 seconds it would pick back up really fast to regular idel. Well I came back home from Vaca and left the KQ with my brother along with my Vinson. He called me yesterday asking if ide had any probs with it already. He said he went out to ride it one day and it wouldnt start, so he left it alone. He then came out the next day and it started on the first hit. On the third day he came out and it wouldnt start again. And on the fourth day it started fine. Anyone else experience anything similar. Seems to us that with the "fuel injection" it would have any kind of idle or run probs. especially being new. I didnt look real close at the engine when i bought it, guess i need to look at the schematics, but is this thing really Fuel injected or is it TBI? Being able to adjust the idle like the mech did , sujests TBI to me.

Default KQ Idle / Run Problem

also i ordered some parts for my vinnie and the guy at the parts dealer gave me an internet co. name and .com address, that has just about any schematic for any bike , atv, motorcycle etc. Since suzuki doesnt list there parts diagrams on their site, (they must be the only ones that dont) this site he put me on to was awesome, had any listing i could think of for bikes/atv.

Shame on you. You got me interested in that site, and then you don't tell what it is! Give it up! What is the site???

BTW, TBI is a type of fuel injection. It stands for Throttle Body Injection (takes the place of a carb), as opposed to port injection (injected directly into the combustion chamber).

Default KQ Idle / Run Problem

Sorry IdahoVinnie, I actually meant to ask if any one else knew the name of this site, I cant remember it. I kinda cut my post short, my bad. Yeah I know the TBI is "Throttle Body Injection", is that the case fo the KQ, I dont have mine as of right now, its at my brothers house, was curios, from what I saw when the mech. was "adjusting" it, it looked to be TBI, not "EFI" or port injected. I got a buddy who is a car mech., but has worked on some bikes of his own, and he said to bring it and let him take a look, he might be able to find a "fix" for the lag if its caused by the fuel system / ECM. Hes pretty good at that kinda stuff. Im going to have to contact the company i ordered the parts from and see if they can give me the site name again. There are a few sites like this on the net, but he said by far that was the best one, his company uses it to identify all the parts that are ordered from them. He had me go there while we were on the phone to make sure I was getting the right parts, seemed like great service to me too.
