z 400 carb ???
Thanks guys for this info. I'll pass it on to my builder.
The 440 ran strong with the stock carb Fri night. My oldest son beat two other 440's (one of which runs an Alba built 440 that won the 400 class last year - my son came in 2nd last year to it).
Unfortunatly, this year CMA changed their classes and anything larger then a 420 has to run in the 418-459 class. (bs in my book because everyone with a 426 gets screwed - last year it was 389 - 426, 427-445, 446+). Nonetheless, my son took 4th in that nov class and only lost to 450's. Pretty good in my book since he hung with them the whole race.
In other races that night, my oldest also took 2nd in the 200 Int, my youngest took 2nd in the 90-100 Int, 3rd in the 100-128 open Int, and I took 2nd in the Vet nov on the LTR450. I lost to that darn ESR built 450r with over 8k in the motor... very nice guy though.... I was proud to beat a 250r built specifically built for the national circut.
FYI to LTR owners. a buddy of mine from the other valley picked me up a custom pipe guys are using on their LTR's that is apparently blowing away the LTR's with Yoshi's/Trinity pipes. I should have the pipe w/in a week or two. I contacted the admins of LTR450HQ to see if they can include it in their pipe shootout but apparently I'm to late. Once I get it I'll post picts.
Picts also coming shortly of my 440 and 450.
