Default Proper engine Temperature range for 05 Eiger

Does anyone have or know the proper oil temperature range for the 05 Eiger? (manual shift) The fan is not coming on. I have 12V to the fan motor and I can get it to kick on if I jump the switch coming out of the front of the motor. I think the switch is bad but im not sure what Temperature it is suppose to kick on at. I have used a thermometer and seen the oil temp up to 210* without the fan kicking on. Any good info is appreciated.

Thx

I have an '04 Eiger, and the fan has only came on for me twice, and they were both in the winter that I got it, and I checked, the fuse is not blown.

Yes my fan will only run in the winter...I clog up the front of the frame with snow and it gets no air to the cylinder or head at all.

I'm going on a two year old memory here but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to kick in around 230 to 240 degrees.

Mine too, was never coming on. I finally checked with my dealer service dept. as to the temperature, put the ATV in the garage and ran it at a high idle while monitoring it with a thermometer. It took a long time (20 to 30 minutes) but the fan finally did kick in.

In normal riding the fan only comes on if the oil cooler and cooling fins are covered with mud or if I've spent a fair amount of time on a slow speed, technical trail.

I have had my fan only come on quite a few times over the past almost 4 years. Front was packed with snow and I was riding slow. Plowing snow (I usually plow just about all my neighbors out when we get a good snow). Working it really hard in the summer (again slow speeds). And when I wasn't sure that it worked I let it idle for I don't remember how long.

Mine used to come on all the time, when it was new. At first, I thought something was wrong, but over time it has come on less and less. Now, it only comes on in the snow, and at the dunes. Both are places where you are riding slow frequently, with a lot of throttle.

I have a new 06 Eiger and I noticed my fan comes on many times, when im running it hard and slow over downed trees, long mudholes and when I leave it sit and idle for a while the fan always comes on, when I swamp it and get the engine wet they fan kicks on and it blows out a ton of steam that fogs up my goggles.
