Default Advice on carb size needed

I have an 88 250 quadracer and want to put a bigger carb on it. I think stock is a 34mm but not for sure. I have the head milled and bored and ported with the Vforce reed assemble and a FMF pipe and silencer. I just thought a bigger carb may help considering the mods I have. Would you guys go for a 36mm or a 38mm?

if you go with the 36 mm carb it will give you alot better lowend, and better top end, but if you go with a 38mm its peak performance is designed for topend, with your mods and depending on yor type of riding. I have alot moded on my bike so I run a 39mm kehin and I love it the best thing i bought for the machine, there 300 times better than a mikiuni ever thought of being. I bought mine from www.moto-man.com really good prices here

Why is the Kehin better than the Mikuni? I really seem to have alot of bottom end the way it is now so maybe I should go with the 38mm

mikuni is factory stock on most bikes quads snowmobiles ect. Kehin is a better aftermarket carb, i beleive ive seen them on a couple dirtbikes stock. I always had problems with my mikuni, then i bought a keihin and all my problems were gone, there carb slides are chrome plated for durability and the design is way better, trust me for the mods you have ditch that mikuni. you wont be sorry !!
