When i try to pull start, the first pull is impossible, let back in and then you can get a full pull out of it but not enough to make it turn over.

when you hit the electric start, can you hear the starter at all? or is it not getting any juice whatsoever

Check the compression release on the motor, maybe its stuck or maybe that back fire bent a valve. My eiger pulls over with ease even before the motor broke in.

you were probley on the compression stroke when you tried to pull it....that makes it very hard

Dont want to sound negative, but if it backfired then the starter wont turn it over and the rope is hard to pull then Quadduck may not be far off, it may have jumped time /backfired / and bent a valve. May not have bent vavle but if it jumped time bad enough without bending valve then timing is off and causing too much compression to fight against with starter or rope. I Hope it didnt bend a valve. Good luck
