So i went out for wings with some friends tonight and came home to a broken quad! Definitely not the best thing to see when you pull in the driveway. My little brother had taken it out for a ride and rolled the Z a few times. Hes offering to pay for it so its not too big of a deal and he didnt get realy hurt. A swollen knee and shoulder and a few scraps and bruises but nothing too serious. Hopefully he learned to slow down a bit though. So damama to the bike is... the handlebars are broken, the headlight is smashed, the plastic mounts are bent and some plastic came unclipped but it should all straighten out. The piece with the neutral and reverse lights is cracked and the throttle is stuck wide open but im just hoping the cable got pinched or twisted since the throttle assembly is pushed way down. So im going to pick up a set of tag bars tomorrow but ive seen some pics of ppl with aluminum reverse and neutral light assemblies. Just wondering where any of you got them from? any other help or tips would be appreciated too.

 

you can buy the aluminum neutral light thing at rockymountain.com, your brother is lucky he didnt get hurt worse by the way that crash sounded, but that stuff happens.

well its not as bad as it looked. some bent mounts, needs new bars and new lights. the stearing stem may also be bent but i sure hope not.
