eiger back brakes
#2
Thats a pretty hard question to answer. Some people don't even use them, other use them often. I have 2500 miles on mine and use them when I really have to slow down in a hurry. They are in great shape about half life on them yet. I would say that 2000-4000 miles would be the normal life when they are used less often. I have to change my front brakes soon this will be the 2nd time I change them in the 2500 miles.

Man how do you get that many miles out of rear breaks. Every quad ive ever owned , including my vinson, have worn the rear brakes out in at least 500 miles, and the fronts usually around 1000-1200 miles. Now i have the EBC SV pads and will see if they meet the "hype" on lasting longer. Only quads ive seen consistantly keeping brakes for that many miles are the Kawis and the KQ with the rear sealed/oiled pads. If you ride in NO mud they may last longer but 2000-4000 even seems extremely high under "normal" riding for rear brakes.

The rear brakes are sealed drum. I guess they don't wear out as fast because they are not exposed to the sand that the disk brakes are. My first set of front brakes were gon at 700 miles this set is the EBC heavy duty pads and I got about 1800 miles on them
