I have a Early 90's Quad runner. I think its a 250. Where the hell is the dip stick for this thing?

 

I dont think it has one. I think it has a clear window on the side of the crankcase to see the oil. you want it in the middle of the glass

Yeah suzuki models from at least the 89' 250 4WD 4x4 model my cousin bought and up to the one i owned a 93' 300 KQ didn't have dip stick's only the little clear glass, and it is full when the oil level is half way in center of the glass. on both these quad's the location of the glass oil level indicator was on the right side between fender and rear tire, you need to keep grease rag to wipe away the dirt as it got mud and dust covering the glass every time we rode our's, we always kept afew grease rag's in the little box behind seat's . I didn't mind the glass type gauge because you didn't have to worry about cleaning around the dip stick and getting dirt in the crankcase when checking the oil, but i didn't like the location of the fill plug hole because i had to use a long flexible funnle to fill with oil when changing the oil but they were and still or great quad's !!! I don't know what year they changed over to dip stick's , i bought a 2006 ac 400 auto fis in feb. it has the suzuki engine and has a dip stick on it ! I sold my brother the KQ a week later, wish i had kept it now the ac is so tall and wide i've taken a few hit's to the head from tree limb's the KQ would've went right under; just luckily i was wearing the new helmet the AC Dealer gave me free with the purchase !!!!.............anyone know what year suzuki's changed to a dip stick ? ? ?.........
