Default 04 Eiger problem

My brother-in-law has an 04 Eiger with a problem. We went ridin last saturday and before we left it wouldn't run right. Well after I looked at it I could tell it was flooding. Looked in the air box and it was almost full of gas. So I drained the gas and and he rode it up and down the road and it ran great. Well we started on our ride later that day and it died about a mile into the trip. I checked the air box again and it was dry. Well after awhile I noticed gas starting to run it the air box again. So I took the carb off and cleaned it had alot of trash in the bowl. After that it ran great the whole ride. Well we get home and unload and his runs out of gas because the gas was off. Well he turns the gas back on and pulls it up to his house and leaves the gas on. A few days later he said he tried the start it and it wouldn't start. So today he comes over and says you go to see this. He pulled the dip stick out and over a gallon and half of gas pours out. Checked the air box and it was full to. I took the plug out and pumped all the gas out of the cylinder. Looks like he has some more trash in the carb or the needle and seat is wore. It only has a little over 300 miles on it. Is it common for the needle and seat to good bad on an Eiger this fast? And wheres the best place to get parts? Thanks

Default 04 Eiger problem

I had this happen on mine but the gas never went into the crank case. I found lots of junk in the bowl that I think caused the float to stick open. I installed a inline filter and another fuel petcock. I use new inline petcock whenever I transport or leave the Eiger sit for a few days. I have never had a problem since. I think the fuel valve that suzuki uses is junk. I was under the impression that the engine vaccum opened the petcock (mine is always open).

Install a inline filer and a inline petcock. Clean out the carb again. Drain and flush the crankcase a few times with some cheap oil.
