Lt250r is it a good buy?
#1
Hi everyone. I have been looking for an atv deal for a while now and I just found an 89' Suzuki Lt250r quadracer for sale. The guy wants $1000 for it. He says it was just ported and polished, and he has put $2000 into it. The only thing it needs it a set of front fenders. What do you guys think? Is it a good deal?
Thanks Mike

I would buy it only if the engine looks good and it runs good I could say I just had a complete engine rebuild but can't prove it so ask for a reciept or something to see that he got it done but it sounds like a good deal as long as there is nothing wrong with it.

Hey thanks for all your help, but it turns out that the quad is too far away and my Dad wont drive me there to look at it. So now I'm looking into a blaster. But thanks anyways, I can use these tips with other atv's.

I wouldn't get a blaster nothing against them but they are pretty small but it also depends on how big and old you are I would say go with a raptor 350 its 4 stroke and you won't be rebuilding the engine like you would with a 2 stroke

I don't like blasters either but if that's what's available, get it! Riding a blaster beats riding nothing!
I rag on blasters (yes I had one) but what quad finished the Drakkar Rally?? Blaster..

Hey, I went to a dealer and sat on a blaster, and you guys are right, it's kind of crampt. But I dont think size will be a problem any more, I found an Lt500r Quadzilla for $2000. If he has a title for it and I can get him down to $1850, I'll buy it. It looks like brand new, all new plastics and wheels are new, motor is sleeved to original bore, etc. Only problem is that there is a crack in the case near the shifter. He says he patched it and it runs excellent now. He said he will also throw in another case that is in good condition. What do you guys think?
