Default silencer baffle and packing/ side effects

baffle on my fat boy broke also no packing was inside and seems i have power loss but compressions at 172. any idea would be appreciated, thanks . does silencer make that much difference(noticable power loss)?

packing is extremely inportant, you will loose quite abit of your lowend if not repacked, and it provieds a little backpressure two.

without the packing you have opened the exhaust more and leaned it out. I had that happen to me on my yoshi pipe, wouldnt run right had no power till I repacked it
