Default Lt80 lighting help needed

I have an 87 LT80 that I am installing lights on.I did install a high output stator from Rickstator (1st one failed within 20 minutes of riding.Screws backed out and shredded it-not happy).I wired in the lights to a hot wire from the switch but still seems to draw down the battery while using the lights.Am I wiring this in to the wrong wire? How can I remedy this?

Welcome to the ATV Connection forums.
The wire that you need to tie into is the red/white wire. That's the charging circiut.
Hope that helps.

Thank you but I'm still having problems.I tested voltage on the battery with it running and voltage was climbing nicely past 13 volts. When I tapped in the lights (I'm using a small cheap pair of foglights from a car) they were very dim.If I hooked up directly to the battery they were very bright but my voltage kept going down. Are the foglights too strong and drawing too much voltage/amps?What would work as a better solution to get a bright light at a low cost.Thank you for any help given.

I feel that the lights used are taking too much juice. Maybe try just 1 light.
Ricky stator should have the light stuff. ATV Racing in Phoenix has a light kit (atvracing1.com).
