Rear end squeak - Please advise?

Rear end squeak - Please advise?
I have a 2001 LTF160. I don't drive in sand, mud, or water. Just on the grass in my yard.
There is a squeak somewhere in the rear. It is not the shocks or frame or anything like that.
It makes the sound when the rear wheels rotate.
Not always non-stop, but can be rythmic. It does not make it all the time and
seems to mainly do it when going slow - 5 mph or slower I'd guess.
I don't know where to begin to troubleshoot this. I assume something needs lubricated unless it is the brakes (but it does it when the are not depressed). A while back I did adjust the rear 4 bolts to move it
back a little to tighten the chain tension - don't know if that had anything to do with it. I cannot remember
if it squeaked before that or not.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks for the advice guys. Yes, it was the brakes. When I moved the rear end back to put more tension on the chain I didn't happen to think that would tighten the brakes. So I just loosened the rear brake adjuster and the sqeak is now gone. So thanks for the idea to check it out.
Now I hope I didn't mess anything up riding it that way!
