Here are the weights of each quad:
honda 450r: 363lbs
yfz450: 350 lbs
Ltr450: 368lbs
Z400:373lbs...... yea the yfz is 23lbs lighter, but you can take a few things off the z400 and get it pretty close. I don't understand why the z400 does not get much credit....everyone says I should have got a 450. For less money I can make mine just as fast or faster and have a reverse, when mine is done....its going to be a sleeper.

I heard there's a 470kit for the z400, that would kill a ltr450 if you also widened the z470 to 48-50" and added elkas or something (i just think they are good cuz lots of ppl have them)

You could probably shave a few pounds off the z400 to put it the same as a ltr450..... headlights, grab bar, (subframe? does it have one?)

THE ONLY ADVANTAGE THE LTR450 HAS IS THE EFI, have you seen the programmer units? ITS WAY BETTER THAN A CARB you dont have to take out your carb or take it apart, just wire up the programmer, and all you have to do is press + for richer and - for leaner and MODE for other stuff.

thats why i would want efi

my buddy has an ltr450 that i worked on a few weeks ago. honestly, i think when you go all out like he did (498cc) the efi is a hinderance. He has an adjustable controller, you can adjust fuel only. No rev limit, no timing. he is running on the edge of bein lean because your limited by injector size. It will be a while before thats figured out i suspect.
