TRANSMISSION FLUID LT80

Default TRANSMISSION FLUID LT80

Ok! today I drained my transmission fluid and I notice the fluid was comming out was milky color (white)not sure but do you think its water going inn and if so from where.still waiting for parts for clutch.Thanks![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

That motor is air cooled isnt it?Do you run it in any deep water?Has it been stuck in any deep water?I just cant imagine where the water would have come from unless its been in deep water and even if it has then I still dont know where it would have got in.I dont guess your kid would have a added water to it.

YES ITS AIR COOL.I BELIEVE LAST TIME I TOOK THEM RIDDING THEY WERE RUNNING THE BIKE THREW MUDDY AND WATER.DON'T RECALL HOW DEEP,BUT BIKE HAD NO PROBLEMS RAN GOOD.

Prolly condensation unless the vent tube is missing.
Not that big of deal IMO.

lt80! where is the vent tube?one other thing positioning pin by the transmission #2(shoe area)the position pin was stuck and the bolt thats screws the left crankcase near the pin was white.Thanks!

Default TRANSMISSION FLUID LT80

There is a brass tube that vents the gearbox oil. There is a line that runs up to the frame on that tube.
I've seen the white bolts before, that's just corrosion. Not a problem. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
