more 230 quadsport help
Well, I got it together and it runs pretty good. Its really fast and tons of low-end. The only problem is starting it. Gotta kick myself to exhaustion all the time. Its to the point where its not even worth riding it anymore. Once running though it idles nice. I've tried moving the needle clip all over the place and fiddling with the air screw.... Air box cover on and off.... Anything I can think of and there is no way to make it easy to start. Plug looks good, no fat blue spark though.

Compression release is hooked up... Compression has nothing to do with it... It just don't want to start. It kicks nice n easy with the release on, just I have to kick it for 15 minutes while trying everything I can think of to fiddle with before it fires.
Sometimes I hold the trottle wide open n kick a couple times... Then I let go of the trottle and kick it and it might start. That seems to help sometimes. Makes me think its flooded.
Sometimes I turn the idle down and that seems to help. Sometimes I turn it up n that seems to help.
Today I let it die while running out to check the mail. I kicked it a few times n said F$%K it and just walked back to the house n got my bayou to pull it back. I pushed it back into the garage n tore down the A-arms to replace the bushings. I'm also going to pop the tire off n drill the valve stem in the other side and weld the other hole closed so I can flip the rim around and get a wider stance. Should be worth 2 or 3 inches.
