I just brought home a 2007 Suzuki Ozark 250. It's a nice little machine, but it seems to make quite a bit of gear noise. It sounds almost like a tire is rubbing, but there is no evidence of that happening. My friend has an older Ozark and I don't recall it making any such noise.

Does anyone have a late model Ozark? Is this something to fret over? I can run it back to dealership tomorrow.

I would go ahead and take t in to the dealership. After I change the rear diff fluid on mine, it makes a noise for a bit, but stops after a bit of riding. I don't know why it makes noise after the fluid change, but it always goes away.

 

mines a 2007. i have no funny tire rubbing noise, but i'll double check next time i take it out, maybe tomorrow. the plastic does rattle though, i.ve noticed that.

 

are you talking about the noise from the engine? i hear lots of rattling down there all the time.
