Default Need feedback on LTR 450

Me and my brother have always been Honda guys but are really considering the Suzuki 450. We like Honda for its durability but the Suzuki comes with lots of bells and whistles stock has anyone out there know of any problems the Suzuki 450 has encountered.....

The zuke had problems in the beginning, the machine didn't weld the rear sprocket mount completely, but was only noticed by the folks who raced hard core MX year round. If you're a casual recreational rider you won't have any problems what so ever unless you ride a bunch of tight technical trails, due to it having a bigger width but you'll def. catch 'em in the straights. Plus the idea of fuel injection and the width it's really nice. Don't own one but i've seen 'em in action. My dad (47 who likes to go at a casual pace) even fancied 'em, liked their seat and that's the first thing he looked at b4 he bought his =P. Plus you can get rid o' the spark arrestor air box lid and talk the dealer into tossing in a cherry bomb and you're rdy to hang in their with slightly modded yfz's and 450rs. Can't go wrong with the zuke. hope this helps

im pretty sure it was the top mount for the rear shock that wasnt welded correctly? it was only on early builds so you're more than likely not going to have any problems.

ACTUALLY it was the rear linkage mount on the frame that was breaking. I had one of the frames that were recalled, so I would know. Since then I have had no problems. I you want to read up on info for the LTR450s go to this website

------> LTR450HQ

That website will tell you everything you want to know...........

i would say its a really nice bike.
like that one person said take the spark arrester out and air box lid and have that dealer throw in a charry bomb and you be movin pretty goood.
i personaly have not had one problem and i do ride it pretty hard but yet its pretty new.
Also idk if this helps but its not only a fast bike, it is rider friendly and can also cruze at a slow pase.
I'm a honda fan to but suzuki is puttin out a pretty reliable bike.
