Default Kingquad VS Prairie 700

Trying to decide which is best for me.... I mostly ride trails, but like to occasionally climb a hill and open it up on the long trails.

I currently have an 03 Prairie 650, and have been really happy with it except for the hard starting, and spitting and spattering it does. (probly due to the fact I dont ride enough and it sits in the garage for months) I heard the carb design was bad on the 650 and they put a different set on the 700. Any truth to this? I guess with EFI on the KQ, this would solve that problem too..... I just hate to give up that V-twin power, and I like the feel of the Prairie's... But I love the idea of EFI and IRS...... Not to mention the black plastic! What are the pros and cons of the IRS?

Anyone got the chance to compare these models up close? Any other Models I should consider in the $5K used price range?

Thanks in advance

Odly enough my Praire 650 strting and dying issues went away when i started running 89 octane.

Might have been the Module I put in it prefers 89?

What type of module did you add, and what did ya gain?

Maybe I'll mix some 93 in with the 87 and see if that helps...... Probly 4.50/gal but what the heck!

Oh man I don't recall what it is off hand. An Mg2 or a DG 2 or something like that. I'll have to dig around tomorrow to see what its called. (anybody wanna chime in?)

It was supposed to increase the 650's power output to that of the 700. I know it overwrote the 100 hr belt light rest flasher.

IRS pros......Smoother ride, more ground clearance, keeps tires on ground better in a twist.
IRS cons......Less stable on hillsides, more lean in curves, more parts to wear out or break.

It is the DG3 ignition module.

I did a search which didn't provide much, but saw references to it on different atv'ers websites.
