Wow, this thread has gone from improvement to replacement!

I wonder if you could just bolt in a 5 hp Briggs and Stratton or Honda. It'd probably perform just fine.

nope no replacement yet for me he's not ready and I'm still under $200.00 for upgrades even with my 3&4 times the going rate for jets guess I should have gotten them for the carb not a different quad welp school of hard knocks did'nt cost as much as the first time------buying the #@%$ thing in the first place.

no body talking out there for a couple days now hope everyones having fun getting ready to launch boat tomarrow still waiting on that main jet every thing else came in

JPLLTZ50 told us about these tires earlier in the thread... These are duro tires that come stock on the Polaris Predator 50.

had a great weekend at hurricane hills my boy did great beat everyone but the drx's i think he could take 5&6 rest of the year i think the fact that he is under powered has caused him to learn his technique really fast or he's just a fast learner but keep that in mind as a positive speeking with other racers they said the same thing putting your kid on the fastest one out there they will develop bad habits that are harder to brake in the future im thinking it may be sprocket time whats the best size we have found so not to lose on top end bad by the way i think upping the main and taking 3/8 off the slide that goes in the top of carb. helped a ton
I think Ill try the pilot next some how some one convinced me that the pilot wouldnt help that CDI i cant say enough for well spent 200 he can go faster down hills then most any other I will say one other good thing bout the SUZ. he was practicing on a practice track after the Sun. race i was trying to tell him not to hold the brake so much all the way down (they were big hills mind you) and he took it a little to far and didnt use both brakes enough to make the corner at the bottom and had to bale ( thank God he did the hill dropped off bout 15-20 feat in the next 20 feet thats were his wheeler was standing up with barb wire wrapped around the handle bars holding it up only thing happened was dad felt really stupid telling him to go down hills faster (I should have just let him get used to that on his own he would eventually go down faster i was just anxious for him to now since thats one advantage he has over the others "2" the wires got cut at handle bars had two splice them back together "3" the thing that goes in bottom of brake for starting safety broke I hooked wires up to a toggle and mounted in front of the key on fender
quad ran great the next day but some how his key got turned off while going up biggest hill on track and i was worried bout the new toggle getting hit so he lost four places but made back two of them the key will be bypassed before next week end unless that will mess up cdi or kill the battery (does anyone know) I dont think it will so all in all great week end Sun. kid got 4 over all Mon. he got 5 or 6 over all and he had a blast meeting new friends and so did we peace i hope everyone one made it home safe and happy
