Thanks. I had a K&N on before but as soon as I pushed the throttle it went great, but bogged out way before the rev limit. I couldn't find a larger jet around here, so I put the stock back on. I'll remove that set screw and see how that works with the K&N. I noticed though the filter barely sits on the carb inlet......real close to slipping off if not tight enough, so I used the rubber piece from the plastic (like the photos) and used a 3/4" galvanized pipe to use between that and the filter. Used another clamp for the stock rubber side, everything fit perfect! Thanks for looking out.

Go to this link http://www.flickr.com/gp/19349868@N05/62qU9w and you will see a pic of the pipe and head seperated with the washer there. Some people are letting me know that they too haven't had to remove a set screw while others are. Not sure why that is. I would assume that if bought new from the dealer they would all be set up the same.

not yet! It was really cold this weekend! Rainy and windy! I wasn't going out for anything! I might just wait to put the filter on when I get the pipe. I only want to mess with the carb once!

which CDI did you get? and just with the CDI you noticed a huge difference?

I am thinking of buying a CDI as the first mod, just to free up the top end some more. I am also leaning towards the LT90 CDI, since it is a factory Suzuki piece, a little cheaper and the aftermarket seems like it has had a few gliches. The only debate is which revs higher?
