I have an 86 quadracer and im wondering if it is possible to put an 88 motor on and 86 frame and if so what kind of modifications have to be done. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes it can be done, and it is not very difficult to do. You will want a 87 up style pipe, I have seen one with the 86 pipe and it burns all the plastic and your leg on the the left side. From what I remember the only thing that is more labor intensive then anything else would be frame modifications. Not very difficult to do, but it would be the best way to do it. The 85's and 86's have a bar coming straight down from the headstay to the lower part of the frame, the 87's and up have a U shaped frame in that area do to the pipe coming out straighter towards the front of the bike. One of the easiest swaps out there. Later
