Default Vent hose on Eiger Carb

Anybody had a problem with dirt getting to the carb because of this line? What about somekind of filter ?

Yes, you could drill a hole in the airbox and run it in there. It would be protected then.

Yeah, my eiger started bogging, dropped the float bowl and found crud in the main jet and float bowl. I was told that it most likely got in through the vent hose so I just put a cloth over the end with a twist-tie to hold it on. I'll have to wait a while and see if it helps.

I zip tied a small doubled piece of stocking on my Eiger's vent hose. Carb still clean.

Hadn't thought about that. I think I'll try the stocking idea.

I like the airbox idea. Will go that route soon.

The point is that it needs to be filtered somehow. Either by its own dedicated filter or via the engine air filter.
