loss of power when throttling

2006 Suzuki Vinson (LTF500) 4x4 Manual trans.
PROBLEM: LIGHT MUD AND HEAVY WATER (Seat Deep), while riding the ATV began to act as though it were starving for fuel, until eventually it would shut off. However if it were sitting at idle, it ran just fine, No water in fuel, oil, air intake.__ Took to local dealer, and the mechanic, just pinched the carb vent tube until a little dirt fell out, and from that point it ran fine.
FAST FORWARD ONE MONTH: Experienced the same problem (heavy mud(wheel deep), light water)__came home and removed all plastics and removed and rerouted every vent tube (CARB, BRAKES, RADIATOR, DIFFERENTIALS, the whole nine yards up into the headlamp area. Upon cleaning up and rerouting vent tubes ATV ran fine!
FEW WEEKS LATER: NO WATER, NO MUD! Same issue!
Any help and suggestions as to possible problems would be greatly appreciated!
