Default crankshaft help

hey guys: am glad we have this form because i also have a 87 lt230 with a major problem i was wandering if any body out their as ever replaced a lower rod bearing and copper washers on crankshaft an is it possible to do this yourself. because so far im at the point were im ready to split the halfs to get to the crank, but to this point im not sure were im going with this. all main bearings and what everelse is in their seems to be good exept for a hole wake of shaving, but that can be cleaned out. so i was wandering is this possible or not, because the dealership said it would cost me around $900.00 but thats replasing much of the bottom end parts with laybour, witch i dont think? i have to go their? all i want is to replce these two idems.. so if anybody out their has done this before can you [please] let me no and how you go about this. it would be well appretiated....oh ya im still trying to find me the proper puller for the flywheel because this is the only thing stopping me from getting to the crank.. thanks again
