This may sound like a dumb question, but are you sure you have the kill switch on? I did that once... Started digging for wire diagrams online and tearing the quad apart before figuring out I had the kill switch off, LOL. I sent you a wire diagram for a 230 quadsport, maybe they will be similar. Ebay is about the only place I can think of to buy used stuff. The magnetic eye sensor is called the pickup coil in that diagram. CDIs aren't cheap and I would want to be sure that is the problem before spending the loot.

haha this may seem like an even dumber question, where is the kill switch...as you may be able to tell i don't know a whole lot about this ****...haha...i got the diagram and i'll go through and check **** out again and see if i can figure it out...i have found a couple sites with new cdi's for about 170 to 200 bones and i really don't want to spend the cash so i will make that a last resort...thanks for the diagram...

Yeah, your question tops mine, lol. It should be on the left side handlebar. Red sliding switch. Mine slides to the right to run, left to kill. When the switch is grounded, it is killed.

haha ok...i definately had that in the on position...i was hoping that there was another kill switch somewhere else on the machine...but oh well...hey this is my first atv, give me a break...haha...no but thanks for your help...i really appreciate it...

You might also want to check if that kill switch is working right. If it is sticking closed for some reason, it wont start either.

Disconnect it and see if it starts. Use an ohmmeter to check the switch. When its in kill position it should have 0 ohms. When in run position it should have infinite ohms.
