Just got my first quad, it's a limited edition 2005 suzuki LTZ 400...i realize this is probably more than i need being my first but i couldnt pass it up....what is this bike worth by the way? it's got about 35 hours on it and it's in pretty much mint condition......

So being my first 4-wheeler, any advice would be greatly appreciated, maintenance, performance, driving tips, whatever.....

 

also...what kind of power is this thing putting down? i've been told that being a limited edition gives it a little more than most 400's but i still have no idea what kind of power it's got...im coming from the car world, so this is all new to me.

 

i dont know who told you limited is more power but there wrong the only diff from limited and reg is limited is blac and dark red which looks better and only cost about 100$ more id say your quad is worth around 5000-5500$ but as for power id say it puts out around 26-30 ponies


but congrats on the new quad you will be happy the z is the sport quad that startted it all and is awesome

 

my quad is yellow and black.......it's an '05...and it's definetely a limited edition....it suposedly has a jetted carb and some different suspension components..or is this all bull?

 

a jetted carb does nothing unless you have k&n filter or your running without lid
and has performance exhaust and the suspention thing what kind of shocks is it equipted with??? i do know this the reg z has superior suspention stock and it is fully adjustable front and rear and has the piggy back resevoirs so i doubt they woul put diff shocks on it but you say it was an 05
