i have a 95 lt80 and was changing the stock(i think) reeds to boyesen PN# 11-6064 labeled for lt80 87-00 and also for ksf/kfx80
my ? is this:
stock reeds have a split in the middle, is made out of metal and matches the reed cage and only has the reed itself.
the boyesen has the reed and i guess what they call big reed. it is also about 1/4" shorter than the stock one. see pic.
do i use both and will it affect performace since the boyesen does not have the split and is smaller?
also, from experience, will i need to rejet? i already am using a 97.5 main since i have aftermarket exhaust.
see picture of old and new reed
thanks in advance

oh, no that was what i used to support the pipe i put on. if memory serves right, stock was 92.5 and tried a 95 but still went a bit higher. ill have to go back a recheck since that was 6 years ago and now that i think of it, i placed the fatter jet to be safe since i really never did a full plug check after the 97.5 jet was put in.
i tried looking for the 95 i had but cant find it so im stuck till i go out and buy another 95.
thanks
