Default Z400 rear disc brake squeaking

On my Z400, the rear brakes seem to be squeaking a lot and its so embarassing. I inspected the pads, and they have plenty of life, and they arent wearing funny. Also the disc is straight, and not bent. Can the parking brake be dragging and causing it to squeak? Someone said a parking brake block off plate can fix this? Just wondering what i need to do so the thing will shut up. Thanks.

The rear brake caliper is either hangin up (partially engaged) or your axle is bent.

The axle is straight, i cleaned the pins that the pads slide on and it still is squeaking. When it warms up it seems to go away, but its really wierd.

Had the same problem w/my DVX400. Did you lube the pins before sticking it back together? I used marine grease and I havent had a problem since.

Try this procedure:
1. Remove rear brake pads.
2. Lift rear end by putting a jack under the swingarm to raise tires of the ground.
3. Start and run the bike in gear.
Pay close attention to the brake rotor side to side clearance as it spins inside caliper.

If your half blind like I am ,you can also sit a soda/beer can next to the rotor to verify rotor warpage.

It makes the noise without touching the brake pedal. It will screech for about 5 minutes then it goes away. Disc could be slightly tweaked but it seems to be straight.

I have the same problem with vinson. I have replaced the pads and rotor and nothing helps. Been like htat from factory, and even the dealers were unable to help. It does get annoying, if you find the problem let me know!
