what kind of two stroke oil is good for a lt250r with a new weisco piston and a fmf fatty pipe thanks

 

all i've ever used is bel ray h1r at 50:1 but thats not to say that anything else is bad

 

Torco GP-7 is my favorite to keep a motor well lubricated.

Klotz R-50 is my 2nd choice.

 

Lots of good 2 stroke oils. I prefer Amsoil synthetic 2 stroke, but as long as you have your pre-mix dialed in, you can't go wrong with any of the above products!

 

What are the tradeoffs between "normal" and synthetic oils in Suzuki two stroke engines? I've heard synthetic burns cleaner and thus doesn't leave carbon deposits. I've also heard that liquid dinosaurs lubricate better. What's the real story?

Dinosaurs one and only advantage is Price, period, after that its a down grade compared to Full synthetic. That goes for 4 stroke oil,gear oil,chain case oil and grease as well.

At the rate my son's LT-A50 burns oil (which is to say, hardly any at all), I think I'll move to synthetic. I'd like to keep that engine as clean as possible. We bought a quart of NAPA 2-stroke oil when we got the machine and he hasn't yet burned through that first bottle yet despite many, MANY hours of operation. The incremental cost of synthetic won't be significant.

what about Yamaha lube 2 stroke is that any good does it burn clean?

Read the bottle if it does not say "Full Synthetic" any where on it, than its not the best available.

 

When I was young and played a lot, I always ran name brand oil. I played with mix ratios and learned a lot too. Now I only run Wal-Mart oil( an incognito name brand) at 40 to 1. I live in the country and don't have time to mess with different mixes. Everything I own runs exactly the same mix and most importantly, runs good with no confusion. Half a quart to 5 gallons, full quart to 10; plus 1 oz of Iso-Heet per gallon to keep the water out. Word of caution here, only run red Heet cause it won't separate the oil out of the gas. JetSkiis (Kawasaki & Yamaha), chainsaws(Husky, Echo, & Stihl), weedeaters(Stihl, & Kaz), snowmobiles(Yamaha, Polaris, & Artic Cat), Motorcycles(Bultaco, Honda, Husky, Kawasaki, Yamaha, CZ, & Suzuki). Every dealer wants you to run only thier brand, and sometimes even threaten with the warranty issue. I just run the same thing in everything. Some of this stuff I have been running for over 15 years now with no problems. FWIW.....
