i have a 2001 300ex, and most people would agree there look from that stupid light sucks so i was wondering if it was possible to either put on a stock 400ex hood(there old look) or a 250ex, 300ex, 0r 450r hood from 07 and up, you know the new looking ones. And how could i do this and would there be alot of modifications to do? Thank You

Its been done, and im not sure if there are kits out there yet. I know there are plenty of kits to convert the old style 400ex to the new, and its not that tough to do...but it can be pricey.
