My Eiger shifter broke the other night while plowing. I hadn't had too many complaints with the shifter until it got real bad and then broke. The pin that connects through the shifter bottom fork and pivot shaft sheared off on both sides, leaving a center section in the pivot shaft. I tried to pound it out, no go. I tried to drill it. Not happening with my bits anyway. So I priced a new shifter on Bikebandit: $251!!!

So if anybody has been down this road before, help me out with some solutions. I may just tear the shifter completely apart to get that pin out.
