Don't worry about running one batch of regular motor oil, it won't do anything bad. In the future, run the correct stuff.

Welcome to the forums. That's a good deal for a low milage bike with a winch. The Eiger is a good all around bike, you'll be happy with it.

Here's some stats form the book:

Fuel - 4.0 gallons

Oil - 3.4 qts (I've always noticed it being closer to 4 qt.) Below 5 degreesuse 5W-30 oil. Normal is 10W-30 with 10W-40 in hot temperatures

Dif Gear oil - 10.1 oz.

Gear oil 8.5 to 11.8 oz. SAE90 with a GL-5 rating

Wow 4 quarts for oil thats only 1 less quart than my truck.? Thats double what I need for my ATV. Must be a advantage in having a big sump though ,like longer periods of time between oil changes or something?

I think they must have made the large capacity for additional oil cooling. The Eiger is a big air cooled bike with a fan and an oil cooler.

55 oval - If you like water over the wheels then just wiat until you hit some deeper streams. I've had mine out where the only thing above water was part of the racks and the handlebars. As long as you move forward and keep the snorkle area dry it will keep going.

haha thats awesome, Im hoping to do some more water crossing when the weather gets warmer.

As for the oil, last night I did a quick ride and I noticed on a steep hill if I rolled back a bit and hit the gas, it felt like it was slipping and I would hear like a loud squeek, then it would catch and go up the hill. I didnt notice it doing this before I changhed the oil, so I bought some Valvoline 4 stroke for motorcycles and I'm going to put that in. It said it had superior protection for wet clutches so Im assuming its the right stuff. Damn expensive too so it better be.

Your ATV is a belt drive ,on some "low speed" /high load situations" you should use low range than the belt can not slip.

ditto what tlc said. I assume you have low range (some of the Yamaha 400s DON'T ). there is a delay between the belt drive engagement vs. you hitting the throttle, as the sheaves open up and let the belt rides down.
