Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.
Alright well I have been riding fourwheelers for about 5 years now. My first one was in 03 and it was a Honda Rancher 4x4, I traded that one in and now have a Z400. But I am missing the 4x4. So for my 18th birthday my mom is going to be getting me a new 4x4, but it has to be a Suzuki.
I don't think I will be able to get anything more than $6,000, so which leads me to only the King Quad 400 FS. But I am wandering if I will get bored of it quickly, and if I should try and get something bigger. I don't think there are any Vinson's left around here.
How does the King Quad (AKA Eiger) handle power? A few people told me it doesn't have a lot of power for a 400.
I will be mostly riding in tight trails, mud and soft sand. Any insight is welcome.

The Eiger has lots of power for a 400 class (actually it's 376cc). It just doesn't compare to the big bores. You'll also notice a big change in just flat out performance compared to your Z, but that can only be answered by one of the bigger utilities. I agree that if you must stay with Suzuki that if there is anyway that you could swing the KQ450 you will be getting much more bike. But the Eiger is a quick reving ride and has always been one of the top performers in the 400 class.

I was like you, I had a Z400 and I miss it alot at times! I just grew tired of shifting cars, trucks , atvs ....guess i'm getting old!! I will say that jaybeecon is right that if you can do it the KQ450 would suit you fine. The fuel injection is great and it rides like a cadillac!(maybe over doing it a little). The autos run good and have proved to be dependable so dont let the fact that its an auto sway your decision. Have fun choosing and let us know how you come out!

Exactly the same as the KQ450 but bigger engine and third light on the handlebars so the reviews say. Same frame, suspension and plastics from what I read and hear. I'm sure more people hear that own them will chime in.
