There is nothing wrong with the 450 to750 King quad steering. Sometimes, on forums, one person complains and lots of others jump on the bandwagon. The 450 and 700 had an awful weak frame, that has hardly been mentioned.

I had one 450 that had steering problems, it was bad for wanting to go in a straight line, I couldn’t find anything wrong, but the owner was wanting to go for slightly wider tyres to replace the half worn stock Maxis. I was about to strip the diff, thinking it must be a diff lock problem, but fitted the new tyres first and the problem had gone. The difference was unbelievable, I’ve no idea why.

I just picked up a 2008 KQ, and was getting to know it last weekend. At 40 to 45 mph on a less than perfect dirt road the KQ steering very affected by bumps ruts etc. You don't notice it at lower speeds. I tested the top speed on a maintained grass runway and the steering was fine. I thought the steering was fine at rock crawling, logs, etc. I have a 03 Prairie and I would say it's far less affected by deflections at speed. A non EPS 750 KQ isn't the best starter ATV, it's a whole bunch of bike, and she'll buck ya if you don't respect her.
