Funny how things change like that. I can't wait for the first hybrid quad. [img][/img] Those electric motors have oodles of lowend grunt.</end quote></div>
That was a big thing in the Rubicon for half a minute, but when you run out of gas, there is always someone to give you some when you run out, propane power, same thing, just a longer wait.. dead bank of batteries, that is a lot of jumper cables, weight, and what if (when) it tips over? what will it do to the trees?? quick, hug a tree...........

Oh, and I wasn't saying hybrid because of the environment.... I'm saying those motors have some torque! I got some plain ole 18volt dewalts last yr around xmas time to replace my 5 yr old collection of 14.4 craftsmans I had that finally pooped out. Man, those dewalts will darn near rip my arm off if the bit ever catches on something. Putting that steel building together I've striped out 3 5/16 sockets so far and I'm not even half done. The thing just has too much power. Not many things I've ever said that about, but way too much power. I'd like to have a 10x version of the drill mounted to a quad! Even if the battery lasted only a few mintues, it would be the ride of a lifetime and I'd spend the next week or 2 recovering.
