LT250R Brake Caliper Question
#1
Hello,
Was hoping I could get somebody to help me with a small dilemma I am having.
Basically, I am working on a 1986 LT250R that was left to set outside for the past year or so. Luckily, the motor had been taken out to be worked on; I got the motor back repaired, and am now attempting to get everything operating again.
I am currently putting the rear brake caliper back together, after tearing it apart, and cleaning all the internal parts.
I have this large spring, which you can see in the following picture. For the life of me, I can not remember how it fit in the caliper, and unfortunately, none of the parts diagrams even shows it..........

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just pulled my Clymers manual and it doesn't show that spring either. I have a feeling it goes to the parking brake, and the smaller diameter side of the spring fits into the groove on the part just to the right in your pic. Unfortuantely, I removed the parking brake on my '85 years ago and it sits in a plastic baggy unassembled in my garage.
