ok.thanks for filling me in their...
so we took it to a hill and got it to the top of the hill and we roled it down it down the hill. i had it in 3thrd going in to 4th and it started but it wasent turning over all the way ...aka it woudent let me rev.and it woudent idle.and when it was roling after i thought it was started it put it down in to nutral and it cut off.iam thingking iot might be the carb/the spark plug/or it needs the dame battery.so iam gonna go toi walmart and buy one for 12 dollars for the kid and see if that will make it run/..if you can think of any thing else that might be rong with it ..plz fill me in

You may have an ignition problem if you are not able to pull or "pop" start the 160. Have you tried towing it behind another atv or is this the only one you have?
BradW made some excellent points, biggest of which is having to start it if it stalls in a bad area...I presume it's your child's ride and not yours, so if he/she stalls it it a mudhole, you're going to be the one to have to go get it. Getting a battery (a correct battery) would be the easiest first step to take, however if it won't crank and START after that, you have more difficult issues to face.
