my buddy has a 84ish-85ish lt185.. we cant figure out why there aint no spark.. could someone help me out and show me th way for what to look for or replace... i have no idea with this bike as it is set up different from mine.. no battery, no electric start... pretty much plain jane pull start, hope it starts and ride...

 

Remove the pull starter and you will see the flywheel. You will need a flywheel puller to remove the flywheel. Once the flywheel is off you will see the magneto. Mine was covered in dirt and was getting very weak spark. Try lightly sanding and spray some electrical parts cleaner in there. It fixed mine.
