ok i finally got my fourwheeler running today..no more clutch slippage! its sweeet! school was cancelled today because the raods are REALLY icey. i took it out and rode on the ice for a while. i had hardly any traction and my tires are pretty bald but i was still able to pop a little tiny wheelie! oh yeah and i have one of my nerfbars getting heliarc welded right now so i had only one foot peg too. lol. well looks like it'll be ready for spring, but if things keep going the way the have been something else is gonna go wrong really soon....

Yea i just got my clucth fixed today too after school.i bought some of those 16.99 dollar friction plates out of dennis kirk imstalled them and it still slipped. It still had the the barnett metal drive plates and springs so i took a chance and put the stock 13 yr old metal drive plates in and now its perfect. The barnetts were only 6 month old and already shot.Go figure that

maybe you shoulda ruffed em up a little bit before you put em back in. the reason mine was slipping is because we didn't keep all the plates in order and since they all wore differently they weren't catchin. so i had to get new everything.

It's great to hear your LT is running good again, thoughs are really nice sport quads.
It probably needed a new clutch anyway being an '85.

No i scuffed the barnetts before i put them in but they still wore out faster.I rubbed them on cement. But now its leaking oil like a mother ducker cuz i just used liquid gasket. Now i just finished grinding the old gasket and junk off.Now i just need a new gasket which i'll get this afernoon. Then maybe i can ride for more than 3 minutes.

yeah liquid gaskets suck. but at least your counterbalancer didn't break off and put a hole through the case like mine did! me and my dad fixed it with a peice of aluminum and some JB weld and its cool now (no counterbalancer though) but it did leak a ton of oil. buy some gasket paper and trace it out. thats what we did. and the paper is pretty cheap

Mine doesn't have a counterbalancer.I bet yours vibrates a lot now?I went and bought a gasket today and coated it with liguid gasket and strapped it on.Now its running again.Where do you get that gasket paper at?

my dad got me some from a guy who works on cars, but a guy who owns a motorcycle repair shop said he had some to so i'd check your dealers place or something. yeah it vibrates a little but its nothing i can't handle. i'm used to it by now.
