My 86 LT230S
#1
Just got my first very own four-wheeler (had been riding my parent's stuff) and I am pumped to start doing some crazy stuff to it. I'm going to try to make it a sweet trail machine. Here's the pics and I'll keep updating this thread as I put stuff on it. Sorry I haven't had a chance to shine her up yet!

Man! Gotta love those classic gold rims!! I hope they shine up good! This weekend I'll be putting on a couple decals and blue PowerMadd trailstar handguards

I like it! Got the same tires on a warrior... Put some 20 inch kenda Klaw XC's on the back. http://www.rockymountainatv.co...vType=type#OtherImages Then you'll be able to slide a little easier. Holeshots hook up too much in dirt and pack up with mud too much in the slop.

Yeah the tires will eventually have to be changed. The fronts are origional from 1986 and they still hold air! Have you or anyone tried putting 23"ers on the front instead of 22's just for the looks?

I swear by 23's on the front (and just for looks). I have the kenda set... 23 XC fronts and 20 XC rears. Its a good setup until you go with a wider axle and a longer swingarm. Then you'll need a better biting rear tire. But for a stock 230, you can't beat the kendas.

Here's what they look like with no engine or plastics.

The only thing I don't like about the kenda fronts is they are a bit "balloony". But that turns out to be a good thing on a rough trail. If I could design my own tire though, I would make them a little skinnier.
