I don't know what is up with my switch assembly, but it has a start button.... So, I hooked the start button to the kill switch wire and the headlights to the kill switch. I like the push button kill. Never have to guess where the kill switch is before I kick it.

 

Nice. Same year as my daughters. I bet it looks even better clean ;-)

Great starter bikes and a ton of fun. I have already had to replace the swingarm bearings after breaking the swingarm. Be sure to check this, cause its not fun.

I had to fix my swingarm too.... I'll post some pics later.

 

This weekend, I did a little CAD and designed my front bumper. I'll build it sometime over thanksgiving break at the earliest or most likely winter break. Also, I'm looking at front tires. Has anyone tried the Dunlop KT701s, Kenda K574Fs or the Kenda K532Klaw Tires? Randy, you were saying the Kenda Klaws were good right?

I scrapped my bumper to save weight. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] The only reason to put any money into these small quads is to maximize the light weight of them. Otherwise, why not get a 450? I'm not a big dude and I can just about pull the front end up with the engine off! My fatass friend can get the front tires a good 6 inches off the ground just by pulling back and sitting down. Plus, I can throw the quad in the back of the truck by myself with no ramps or anything. I like that.

Yeah, the klaws are good for the front, but they're just a little balloony. Good for soaking up bumps, but a little on the heavy side. Those tires with the ridge down the center (ie Razrs, etc) will turn better than the kendas, but I don't think they will out-stop the kendas. That ridge sucks when you lock the front tires up. Plus, I don't mind if the fronts slide a little bit.... Its better than bicycling. I guess it all depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

Well I ride in Minnesota trails so a bumper is necessary. You never know when a tree will jump out in front of you. I'll probably also end up getting a chassis skid too to protect myself from all the rocks on the trails too. Oh and I'd love to get a new wheeler like a z-400 or something but I can't afford it. So that's why I put small amounts of money into this one.
